The program centers on the “108 Relax Spots”, a curated selection of wellness destinations spanning meditation and yoga centers, counseling services, hanok and wellness accommodations, cafés and restaurants, experiential wellness programs, cultural spaces, and nature-based healing parks.
Organized by the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism and hosted by Bulgyosinmun, Relax Week is designed to alleviate stress and anxiety in modern life while promoting a sustainable culture of everyday mindfulness.
Going beyond a simple information campaign, Relax Week focuses on providing “experiential rest”. Throughout the campaign, participating spots will offer a wide range of promotions—including free passes, discounts, and special benefits—enabling participants to discover wellness experiences that align with their personal lifestyles. This year, the program has been significantly enhanced to improve accessibility and ease of participation.
One of the key features is the “Relax Course”, composed of 15 themed journeys. With themes such as “When You Feel the Urge to Get Away” and “When You Need Time Alone,” participants can intuitively select curated healing experiences based on their emotional state, location, or personal needs. This approach goes beyond simple listings to offer experience-driven pathways.
In addition, the “Relax Zoom-In” program will spotlight five selected Relax Spots through dedicated video content. These features provide immersive previews of each space and program, helping participants better understand the experience and encouraging on-site visits.
A centralized digital platform is also available via the official website. Through an interactive map and location-based services, users can easily explore Relax Spots nationwide and identify the most suitable destinations.
Relax Week will also be promoted onsite at the Seoul International Buddhism Expo 2026, held from April 2 to 5 at COEX, Seoul. Visitors will have the opportunity to preview key programs and featured Relax Spots, along with engaging content designed to encourage participation.
An official from the organizing committee stated, “Relax Week is designed not just to provide information, but to create meaningful experiences where individuals can discover rest in their own way. We hope it will establish itself as a lifestyle-oriented wellness festival that enables everyone to choose and practice rest at their own rhythm.”
